My wife and I welcomed the latest addition to our family last night. Ian was born on Feb. 23, 2010 and weighed in at 9.4 pounds. Mom and baby are doing well and I am doing my best to handle our two year old and the many trips between kindergarten and the hospital.

I recently came across an article by Shannon Noack in which she wrote about common misconceptions about web designers. She mentioned how people have the misconception that designers are living large based on how much they charge. After reading that, I began to think about how in our industry we’re forced to prove ourselves in ways which wouldn’t ever be asked of in other industries.
Pixelflips is my online home and design blog. My focus is to design clean, user-friendly websites and to build lasting relationships with my clients.
I have been involved in web design, front-end development, website optimization, and SEO since early 2002. I have a strong passion for web standards and best practices and construct unique designs with clean, well-structured code behind the scenes.
